SEKISUI CHEMICAL engaged in a joint study with Sekisui Jushi Corporation on an “installation method that can withstand wind loads on the 12th floor for 20 years and maintain stable power generation performance,” completed “building material panels with film-type perovskite solar cells,” and installed the panels on the building.
The Dojima Kanden Building, which houses both companies, is currently undergoing a large-scale renovation that is scheduled for completion in April 2025. Perovskite solar cells will be installed on the walls of the building in conjunction with this construction work to reduce the environmental impact of the building. They will also be used for long-term quality assessment, including monitoring the amount of power generated by the cells and changes over time. -
